FAQ
x
How many pieces and what case size?
1000 pieces, packed 20 to a case at roughly 24 pounds.
How does this differ from the other 1000 piece puzzle?
Same piece count, separate SKU, and a lighter case at 24 pounds against 40. Confirm which one a customer had before when they reorder.
Does a 1000 piece board need special equipment?
It needs a press with a platen large enough to cover the whole sheet in one pass. This is the largest flat item in the range, and a two pass press ruins it.
What artwork suits 1000 pieces?
Dense, detailed images. At this count a plain area of sky becomes genuinely unpleasant to assemble, and buyers of large puzzles are the most likely to complain about it.
Why did pieces separate during pressing?
Too much pressure or flexing while hot. Medium pressure, cool the board flat before touching it.
What temperature and time should I press this at?
We recommend pressing at 400°F (204°C) for 45 to 90 seconds at medium pressure, with the transfer tight to the surface and no margin. These are recommended settings only, not fixed rules. Temperature and time work against each other: a hotter press needs less time and a cooler one needs more. Every heat press runs a little differently, so press one test piece and adjust for your machine. Our sublimation time and temperature chart lists settings for 20 blank types.
Can it be framed?
Yes, glued and framed as wall art. For a 1000 piece puzzle that is often the buyer's intention from the start.
Who buys it?
Photographers selling print products, personalized gift sellers, and family reunion and memorial keepsake businesses. Grandparents Day photo gifts: puzzles, tiles and frames
When do orders peak?
Q4 almost exclusively. Bulk Christmas gifts for employees
What does a case contain and weigh?
20 pieces at roughly 24 pounds. What to compare when choosing a blanks supplier
