Design for the panel, not the mug

The print area is the white panel, not the whole body. That is a constraint worth designing into rather than around: a bold mark centered in the panel with black on either side looks deliberate, while a full width design cropped by the panel edge looks like a mistake.

Is the whole mug printable?

No. The white panel is the print area and the rest of the body is glaze. Check the print template size on each product page before setting up artwork.

Do black mugs press differently from white ones?

The transfer process is the same. Because the panel is smaller than a full wrap, alignment matters more, so tape the transfer and confirm placement on one piece before running a case.

How many black mugs come in a case?

Case counts and per piece pricing are shown on every product page.

Why sell a black mug instead of a white one?

It reads as a more considered product next to a plain white mug, so it supports a higher retail price for the same press time and the same artwork.

Are they dishwasher safe?

ORCA Coatings is SGS certified to 3,500 dishwasher cycles. The coating is also UV resistant and FDA certified food safe.

Are black mugs the same as color changing mugs?

No. A black mug is permanently black with a white print panel. A color changing mug is black at room temperature and reveals a hidden design when hot liquid is added. They are different products.
