The taper is the whole problem

A skinny tumbler is tapered, which means a rectangular transfer will not fit it. Cut the transfer to follow the taper, or you get a gap at the narrow end and an overlap at the wide end. This is the single most common reason a first skinny tumbler run comes out wrong, and it has nothing to do with time or temperature.

How do I wrap a tapered tumbler?

Cut the transfer to follow the taper rather than forcing a rectangle around it. A rectangle on a tapered body leaves a gap at the narrow end or overlaps at the wide end. This is the most common cause of a failed first run.

Why is my print pale on one side?

An air pocket under the transfer, or a wrap that tightened unevenly. Tape the seam and, if you are using shrink wrap, pass a heat gun over the sleeve before the oven so it contracts evenly around the taper.

Skinny or tall tumbler?

Skinny fits more car cup holders and is the more searched shape, so stock it first. Tall gives more capacity and print area but loses the cup holder fit that made the skinny popular.

Is it dishwasher safe?

ORCA Coatings is SGS certified to 3,500 dishwasher cycles. The lid is a separate matter and hand washing extends gasket life.
