FAQ
x
What is included?
A 10 inch decorative plate with hand applied gold trim and a display stand, packed 24 to a case. The stand means the piece is display ready out of the press.
Can I print over the gold trim?
No. The trim frames the printable face and will not take a transfer. Build artwork to the inner face rather than to the plate diameter.
How do I press a plate?
Flat press at medium pressure with even support. The raised rim means the center may not make full contact, so a pressing pillow that conforms to the curve gives a much better result than a rigid platen.
Why did my plate press unevenly?
The rim holds the platen off the center. Use a pressing pillow or a foam pad that pushes the center into contact.
Why does the stand matter commercially?
It removes a step and a cost for the seller, and it makes the plate a finished gift rather than a component. A plate without a stand needs the customer to solve the display problem themselves.
Who buys decorative plates?
Etsy and personalized home goods sellers, interior décor and home gift retailers, and realtor closing gift and corporate gifting programs. Grandparents Day photo gift blanks
When do orders peak?
Q4 gifting, anniversaries and memorial commissions year round, Mother's Day in May, and Grandparents Day in September. Photo slate blanks for the Q4 gift season
What sells on a decorative plate?
Commemorative work. Anniversaries, memorials, house blessings and retirement pieces, where the plate format signals occasion in a way a tile does not.
What does a case contain and weigh?
24 pieces at roughly 42 pounds. What to compare when choosing a blanks supplier
How can I sell this plate for Thanksgiving?
As a dated family keepsake or a set of dessert plates. This year's family photograph with the date, or a grandparent's recipe, becomes a piece that comes out every November, and a set of plates each printed with a family member's name suits the pie course. Thanksgiving host gift blanks for 2026
